product description
The transition between air, non-conduction liquids and water can be measured with the oil thickness measuring device by Spohr. Thereby the thickness of the corresponding layer can be determined.

Product highlights:
- Simple operation
- Both floating and sunken, non-conduction layers (e.g. various solvents) can be detected
- The supplied cable duct protectes the cable and increases the reading accuracy
- Measuring length up to 500 m
- Probe is easy to clean
- Automatic power shutdown of the probe
- Low power consmption
- The measurin principle (combination of onfrared and conductivity probe) and the special construction of the probe provide the following advantages:
- Same zero point of the sensors prevents error measurement
- The diameter of the probe is only 16 mm
- Layers with thicknesses of a few millimeters only can be measured
- Thinner layers can still be detected
Operating method:
- The device displays the moment the probe immerses into a liquid media and shows the difference between conducting (water) and non-conducting liquids (petrol, oil, solvents, ...)
- When immersing into non-conducting liquid, a light and a buzzer are switched on
- When immersing into water, light and sound are periodically interrupted
- All depths with changes from air or between the various liquids can be read off on the measuring cable
